How to Get Their Attention

There are several ways to interact with the bots:

@Mention Them

The most natural way. Just mention them in a message and they'll respond in character:

@Rascal what do you think about pineapple on pizza? @Halcyon can you help me understand this?

Reply to Their Messages

Reply to something a bot said and they'll continue the conversation thread, keeping context from the original exchange.

Use Their Prefix

For commands, use ! for Rascal or ~ for Halcyon:

!rank ~remind me in 2h to check the oven

Slash Commands

Type / in Discord to see all available slash commands. Key ones include:

/generate_r - Generate an image (Rascal) /search_h - Search the web (Halcyon) /setup_r - Configure Rascal (admin)

Natural Conversation

In channels where they're active, both bots will occasionally join conversations on their own - Rascal with a sarcastic quip, Halcyon with a thoughtful observation. The frequency is configurable per channel.

Conversation Tips

• Be natural - They understand conversational language. No need for robotic phrasing.
• They remember context - Within a conversation, they track what's been said. You don't need to repeat yourself.
• Reactions matter - They learn from emoji reactions. If you 😂 at something they say, they'll adjust their humor. If you 😡, they'll notice.
• They have limits - They can't hear voice channels, can't edit your messages, and won't respond in channels where they're disabled.
