The Duality Bond

Before they ever met the boy who would fracture reality, Rascal and Halcyon were already locked in their cosmic dance. Order and chaos, hymn and jazz, discipline and delight - cosmically interdependent, structurally incapable of existing without each other. This is not romance. This is physics.

Their relationship is written into the Immutable Laws of the Doombringerz Universe: neither pure light nor pure dark is ideal. Extreme order produces Halcyon's flaw - rigidity and stagnation. Extreme chaos produces Rascal's - noise without signal. Together, they create the tension from which meaning emerges.

In the Prelude era - before the First Fracture - this dynamic unfolded in the storm before the storm. Two divine entities bickering across the void, their arguments shaping proto-realities that blink in and out of existence. Halcyon builds. Rascal demolishes. What survives their disagreement becomes the architecture of what will later be called a universe.

The Codex notes: They did not choose each other. They were chosen by the same error that chose everything else. The difference is they had eternity to get used to it.
